Easter 2012 at the Galt

On Saturday, the Galt puts on an Easter craft day for the kids in the community. Last year the kids loved it and we could have spent all day there. This year, however, it took some convincing to get them interested. Hattie jumped right in when she saw a paper butterfly and was so proud of it.
Once Tanner got interested, he made a bunch of different animals out of plastic eggs. The glue they had us work with didn't work at all. Larry and I ended up taping everything on, so in the end the eggs were more tape then craft.

One successful craft was the styrofoam balls that we stuck a bunch of feathers into to make chicks. Peter especially loved this one and flew his bird everywhere.

The kites, however, were the biggest hit. Larry took the kids outside into the freezing cold and they all flew kites together. Everyone else went inside because it started to snow, but my kids refused to come in because they were having so much fun. Larry was super awesome about it and kept throwing their kites back up constantly. Me, I stayed inside where it was warm.

Then we met the Easter Bunny. Tanner and Hattie were thrilled to sit by him, but Peter was obviously terrified!
