Oh the shame!

I think I may be becoming aware of people's addiction to blogging. I think it's because I know only my family read this and I would tell them my stories anyway.
So, here's the shameful truth... I should be packing, but I am hopelessly addicted to a super Cheesy romance novel right now. I started and think I may end it this evening instead of packing or sewing. Oh, if only people knew how cheesy it was, they would be humiliated for me. I find myself absolutely giddy over certain passages and completely in love with the main character. When I'm done I'll share it with Miriam because I know she would appreciate it. As for everyone else, sorry, I would be far too embarrassed to let you know how giddy in love I am with such a cheesy book. Well, must get back to reading before Larry gets home... :)

The equation may seem odd, but it works

One completely out of control toddler for Cheerios + no milk in the house +

= One happy Hattie.
Yuck and she loved it.

Visit Teaching-my test of faith

For some people it's tithing, for others it's attending a three hour block of church, but for me, going visit teaching in the winter is my test of faith. Don't get me wrong. I love my companion and the girls we teach are great, but I detest packing my kids up in the winter, getting them in and out of the vehical 4 times, taking off and on winter clothes in tiny entrances, then trying to keep them undercontrol while delivering my 'spiritual' message for the month. I sure hope someone is getting something out of this whole process because to me it's 2 hours a month of complete craziness.

Love is in the Air!

Here is my favorite Valentine's picture of my kids! They were actually really excited to pose for the pictures. We went to the dollar store to get the hellium heart balloons, and they were SO excited! We took the pictures, then they were allowed to do what ever they wanted with the balloons. Their favorite thing is to run around in circles chasing each other and trying to get the other person's balloon that was trailing behind them on a string.

The Love Countdown!

To show Larry how much we love and appreciate all his extra hard work on getting our house ready in time, the kids and I made him a Valentine's Day countdown. The kids decorated a mailbox for him. We wrote down 14 reasons why we love Larry, and each day we put in a note and a treat for him to take to work!

Best ever

Wow, there is little in life that is as rewarding as watching your kids play and interact with each other. A couple days ago, Hattie came upstairs and asked me for a pillow. I gave her one, then waited a couple minutes for her to go back downstairs and do whatever. I peeked my head around the corner of Tanner's room, and there they were, reading books together on his floor with blankets and pillows.

I love it!! I sure hope they can remain good friends for a long time.

Potty training - trial 1 of who knows how many

Hattie is 22 months, so I thought I would give potty training a try before we move into our new house with new carpet. She actually really enjoyed the whole process, but I'm taking a temperary break for a week before we start again. She loved sitting on the potty reading books, and running around with no clothes on.
But what she really loved were her princess panties. And one pair is never enough!
Yup, she's ready to go! She really did walk around like this for quite a while until she decided that maybe is wasn't her greatest idea.
