Father's Day 2010

A little past the day, but I had to include it in my blog.
Larry on Father's day with all his kids. Ha ha and all their unique personalities.
For Father's day at church Tanner's teacher had them make ties for their fathers with stickers. Tanner was SO excited to give it to Larry. Then Tanner decided that his dad looked so cool that he took off one of the stickers and put it on his tie so he could look just like his dad.

Tanner's 4th Birthday

For Tanner's 4th Birthday he decided to have a Superhero theme. Well, maybe it was I who decided this because he couldn't decided between superman, buzz lightyear, mr incredible, spiderman or batman. He was thrilled with this idea though, so for his cake I did all the superhero logos around it and plugged mr. incredible on top since he was the favorite of the week.

We did the party out in the garage because the ground was too wet outside due to the monsoon season this year, but it turned out perfect in there.

The kids each went through superhero training camp in the garage before they were given their ultimate superhero costume. Before the party I had each of the kids make up their superhero name and super power for the party. I made them each their own supershirt for when they arrived. It was cute what they came up with. In the end they got to spray the villain (thanks Naomi for doing such a great job) with silly spray to save the cake.

Saralynn came by earlier that week and made a mr incredible body. We had each of the kids get a picture with it and used it as the thank you card. Perfect and actually quite easy. This is Hattie. She was way too scared of Naomi as supervillain, so she stayed inside until that was all over.

Then the gifts. Everyone was super generous, and Tanner LOVED everything he got. He was super happy and polite, which made me super happy I had gone through all the effort of making his party. Thanks Tanner for being such a sweet 4 year-old. You are the BEST!

I love July 1st

July 1st. To me that means only one thing - Raymond.
I love the parade, the candy, the floats (usually a family one), the big family dinner at Dana's, and getting together with all the family, then chilling at Laurene's until we get to eat again. MMM eat. This year Doug smoked some killer ham. So yummy.

The parade is so fun. The kids were so cute. They had a blast running after all the candy (which did make some tense moments for me as I had to make sure they didn't run for the candy that was about to go under a horse hoof or truck tire.)

Tradition has it that we cheer and wave to everyone in the parade (probably because that's what we loved when we were in the parade when we were little). Anyway, I love that my kids do it too already. I think that's what really makes the parade so fun.

Cowboys

I love these pictures.
Miriam got the kids dressed in their outfits for fun and I thought I would snap a couple pictures in the kitchen. Tanner was so in character that I hauled him outside for some fun photos. He got tonnes of really cute ones and did an awesome job posing over and over again.
Hattie was cute to have in the pictures too. At first she was frowning and not cooperating. Then she tried to steal Tanner's gun. That's when I realized she wanted a bigger gun. The picture here is with her big gun, and she was ready to shoot it up!
