Thomas the Tank Engine

We took a trip to Calgary to see Thomas the Tank Engine this May. We invited Kasen and Grandma B to come with us. It was so much FUN! We rented a van and all went up together. The boys were giddy and talking about Thomas the entire was up there.
When we arrived Thomas was sitting at the station. They were so Excited! After getting our picture taken near Thomas we went around the park taking in all the Thomas activities. There was everything a little boy could dream of.
To top it all off, we got to take a ride on Thomas in Annie and Clairabelle. It was so exciting for them they couldn't sit still and talked non-stop. It was so fun watching them. We played from 11am until 5pm and didn't stop to rest. It was worth every penny!

Hattie's 1st Birthday!!!

Could we possibly have had a more fun week of partying? We had party after party for this little princess. First a little family one on Tuesday. Thurday we had a bunch of friends over for cupcakes and company. Sunday was a party at my parents, and Tuesday was her photo shoot and fun cake. Tanner was just as involved in it all and was thrilled to add so many new toys to the basement collection.

What a fun time we had last weekend. My mom, my kids, and I went to Sask. to visit Naomi and her kids. The drive up was, well, eventful.
9 hours after leaving Leth. we found ourselves in the middle of absolutely nowhere in the middle of the night.
After having a bolder smash my windshield, getting lost in Med. Hat, busting drifts with my little car, and waking up a random family at 2am to get directions, we finally pulled into Chase's.
The kids were so excited to see each other and played like angels all weekend. Naomi fed us like royalty, and it was so fun!

I've started this blog as a sort of journal for my kids. I hope to capture some of their sweetest, funniest, and yes, even their most defiant moments here in word and picture.
I've titled it With a toddler on my knee because I usually have Hattie or Tanner sitting on my knee while I try to work with it.
