Attempt at Newborn pictures

I looked at a bunch of newborn blogs to see some cute poses for babies. With some ideas in mind I set up some blankets in a basket and began trying to pose my baby. Totally impossible. I have no idea how photographers get the baby to stay in the positions. Every time I would try to move his leg, he would move his arm. I would put his arm back, and he would instantly move his leg. I finally got him in a good position and I noticed a yellow spot on my white sheet. I lifted him up to reposition the sheet and he woke up, thus ending my pathetic attempt at newborn photographing. I have a whole new respect for the pros.

Peter's Blessing Day

Here's just some pics of my darling kids on the morning of Peter's Blessing Day.

Batman would be Proud...???

We were at playgroup today at Tanner asked another little boy what was on his shirt. A green monster. Then the boy asked Tanner what was on his shirt. Tanner responded with sheer confidence "A Big Mouth!" Bahh ha ha, I couldn't contain my laughter. So cute, and really, it does look like a big mouth :)
LOVE THIS BOY!!!

Welcome Baby Peter

Peter Samuel Bester! We are so happy to finally have you in our family. What a long wait it seemed like. Tanner and Hattie were so thrilled to have a "new baby broder". Hattie can't stop smooching him and Tanner loves to sit watching his morning cartoons cuddling Peter. I love watching the kids interact with him. It is so sweet.

Recovery for me seems slow, but so worth it. Larry has been so helpful! He has taken over for me in the evenings so I can sit and cuddle my kids. Peter has been sleeping really great and seems to deal with tummy cramps really well, so hopefully this continues... he's cryin now so I had better go!

There's a Hole in my Pocket

This morning I was trying to find Hattie to get her ready for a bath. It was way too quiet, so I knew she was up to something. Moments later she came walking in and declared, "Look mom! I put it in my pocket." Humm, yes you did.
